Quickly Swap Between Applications
A small but useful trick that your PS4 is capable of is quickly switching between two applications that are running on your system. This could be useful if you’re playing a game, but need to navigate to the PS4’s built in messaging system to coordinate a play session with friends.
While in-game, press the PS button and navigate to your PS4 messages. Once you’ve read and responded to your friend, quickly press the PS button twice and it’ll take you right back to your game. Press the button twice more and you’re delivered back to your messages. It’s a nice quality-of-life feature on the PS4, and it should work with any application on your console, not just messages.
