Choose Your Favorite Friends
Personally, we’ve turned off all the notifications we can on our PS4. It’s almost necessary in today’s gaming world since so many people are capturing footage for YouTube or streaming directly to Twitch. Even if you’re just trying to share the odd screenshot on Facebook or Twitter, constant pop-ups telling you that the random dude you did the Destiny Nightfall with six weeks ago is online can be annoying.
By navigating to Settings, then Notifications, PS4 owners can select the option for When Friends Go Online. It’s here that you can customize what notifications come through and which ones you can skip. It’s a great way to never miss a shot at gaming with your favorite people, but also limiting the notification spam when you have a long list of PS4 friends.
