PS4 Gyroscopic Typing
Have you ever tried typing a message to a friend on your PS4 using the arrow keys on your DualShock 4 controller? It’s terrible. That’s not Sony’s fault, but it’s not fun. Luckily, your PS4 has a built in gyroscopic typing feature that few people are aware of.
Any time you’re using your PS4 to type something, such as adding a friend or sending a message, press the R3 button down. This will bring up a circle on your screen, and from that point forward you can select letters by tilting your controller in the direction you want to go. It’ll take some getting used to, but it’s a great long-term alternative to fumbling around with the DualShock 4 d-pad.
