Highest Alpha Damage Tank Destroyers – Tier 7
T25 AT
When it comes to Tank Destroyers, the United States tends to struggle to compete with the raw alpha damage of other nations. Despite this, the USA TD Tank lines offer some of the best vehicles, as it’s not just about alpha – it’s about survivability. Regardless, the T25 AT can equip the 105 mm gun, lifting its alpha damage to 320 with 198 mm of penetration.
SU-152
Offering a fast reload speed and some decent mantlet thickness, the SU-152 hits like a truck with its top-tier gun, the 122 mm D-25S mod. 1944. This gun boasts a competitive rate of fire, dispersion value, and a fast aim time, perfect if you need to pivot. More importantly, it has 390 alpha damage with 175 mm of penetration. Alternatively, the 152 mm gun boasts 700 alpha and 135 mm, but you sacrifice a lot of stats that make TDs great: shell velocity, shell arc, aim time and accuracy.
Sturer Emil
Boasting one of the best gun depression stats of any Tank Destroyer (-15 degrees), the German Sturer Emil (St. Emil) is able to employ some tricky tactics to exploit this unprecedented angle. This isn’t the only strong point the St. Emil offers, as its 12,8 cm Kanone 40 gun has 490 alpha damage and 231 mm of penetration.
