Highest Alpha Damage Tank Destroyers – Tier 8

Ferdinand

The Ferdinand is an excellent place for fans of the German tank line to settle down if the idea of grinding out to Tier 9 and 10 is too daunting. The Ferdinand exemplifies what makes German tanks so powerful: their accuracy, armor, and damage output. Wielding the 12,8 cm Pak 44 L/55, the Ferdinand’s AP rounds have an average of 490 alpha damage with 246 mm of penetration. In the unlikely case this doesn’t penetrate an enemy’s armor, the APCR rounds boost the penetration to a whopping 311 mm.

Rhm.-B. WT

The alternate to the Ferdinand is the Rhm.-Borsig Waffenträger, or Rhm B WT for short. This TD is unlike many others as its gun is mounted on a traversable turret, allowing it a far wider range of attack. When upgraded to the 15 cm gun, the Rhm B WT packs a huge 750 alpha damage with 215 mm of penetration. Though this is 31 mm less than its stock weapon, the payoff is in its raw damage potential.

ISU-152

This is one of the highest alpha damage Tank Destroyers in World of Tanks, offering values that other TDs can't even dream of matching.

The Soviet Union continue to excel at their tank production with the ISU-152, a tank that will have you struggling to resist the urge to dive in on enemies. Much like the USSR’s highest alpha damage Heavy tanks, the ISU-152’s best gun is the 152 mm BL-10, sporting 750 damage with 286 mm of penetration, it is even able to outperform some higher-tier TDs! No matter how good it feels, it’s not worth rushing out and trying to get kills with this monster, because it’s still a TD with limited armor.
