Iconic movie director John Carpenter has been scaring and thrilling audiences for over four decades with cult classic such as Halloween, The Thing and Escape from New York, and has been an avid gamer - and a vocal defender of gaming - for almost as long. He was such a fan of horror shooter F.E.A.R. that he helped direct the cutscenes for the third installment, and in 1998 composed the soundtrack for eerie strategy puzzle game Sentinel Returns.
