It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Maximus Cup event hit Tetris 99, but we’re finally getting a new one based around Nintendo’s Ring Fit Adventure. Similar to previous Maximus Cup events, players will compete to earn points. When they earn 100 points, they’ll unlock a Ring Fit Adventure in-game theme for Tetris 99!
Tetris 99 gets Ring Fit theme Maximus Cup

Tetris 99 is hosting its 12th Maximus Cup event this weekend. This time around, the event theme is based around Ring Fit Adventure. To unlock an exclusive Ring Fit Adventure in-game theme, players will have to earn points by playing Tetris 99. The better you rank each match, the more points you’ll be able to earn.
If you get 1st place, you’ll automatically earn 100 points! Once 100 points have been earned, the in-game Ring Fit theme will unlock and be yours to keep forever. What’s nice is that as long as you place at least 80th, you’ll be able to earn points, making the system friendly to newcomers and pros alike.
According to the announcement posted by Nintendo, the Ring Fit theme Maximus Cup will kick off in Tetris 99 on Friday, April 24 at 12:00 a.m. (PST) and will run until Monday, April 27 at 11:59 p.m. (PST). It’s free to compete in the event, and Tetris 99 itself is free for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers.
