What to wear for all Label fashion challenges in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Label is a visitor who shows up on your island at random. Label is one of the Able Sisters who’s working on her very own fashion label and needs your help. Specifically, she needs you to show her an outfit that fits the style she’s looking for in exchange for a reward. The directions are a bit ambiguous. To make things easier, we’ve put together a guide explaining what to wear for all of Label’s fashion challenges in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

What to wear for all Label fashion challenges in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

• Speak to Label, learn the style theme, and accept the piece of clothing she offers.
• Access your wardrobe and look for items to complement that style and clothing article.
• Return to Label when you’re done and show her what you’ve come up with.
• If she likes your outfit, she’ll reward you with a Tailors Ticket, exclusive Labelle fashion item, and will let you keep the piece of clothing she gave you as a style example.

Label shows up at random in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you can’t predict when she’ll appear, so it's hard to say when you'll be able to show her your fashion prowess. That said, Label won’t arrive until after you’ve unlocked and set up the Able Sisters shop. Once that’s done, check your Plaza each day to see if Label is hanging out.

If you spot Label, speak to her to hear about her fashion label, and how you can help inspire her. To do this, Label will ask you to show her a specific style of outfit. To get you started, she’ll give you an article of clothing like a Football Shirt and will then tell you to put together a “Sporty” outfit to go with it. She’ll wait for you in the Plaza, letting you run back to your house and rummage around your wardrobe.

When you’re happy with what you’ve put together, return to Label and show her what you’ve come up with. If she likes the outfit, she’ll reward you. So, how do you come up with the right outfit? Well, let’s use the Sporty outfit as an example. Label already gave you a Football Shirt to wear, so all you need to do is pair it with some shorts, running shoes, running tights, or even something like a Skateboard Helmet.

The outfit doesn’t have to look visually appealing or even coherent, it just needs to fit the “Sporty” theme. One tip we have to ensure you’re always ready for Label’s arrival is to visit the Able Sisters shop each day and buy everything they’re selling. Even if you prefer to wear your own custom designs, having a well-rounded inventory of clothing can help you put together whatever outfit Label needs to see from you.

For visual examples, we’ve put together outfits in each style to show you some of the different pieces of clothing you could use to impress Label.

As you browse the Able Sisters shop, you may come across clothes with "comfy" in the name which you can use to put together an outfit. You can also put something together that reflects the idea of comfort, like being snuggled up in cozy pajamas.

The "Everyday" outfit style is a bit more loose in that we all have items we wear on a regular basis like jeans or sneakers. Fortunately, Animal Crossing: New Horizons boasts items with "everyday" in the name to help guide you along the correct outfit path.

The Fairy Tale outfit is definitely tricky, at least it was for us. To meet the style as close as possible, we went with a "masquerade" look paired with a Disney-esque dress and a cute red rose. 

We had a lot of fun with our Formal outfit using some fancy shoes, a bow tie and suspenders look, along with "Monopoly guy" accents including a moustache and monocle. For a girly equivalent, you could use a Victorian or Ruffled Dress.

Our Gothic outfit includes a Gothic headdress, Visual-punk Dress, and an all-black aesthetic. 

We drew inspiration from the Steve "Crocodile Hunter" Irwin with our Outdoorsy outfit with Trekking shoes, and the full Explorer's outfit set from the Able Sisters shop.

The Sporty outfit we put together isn't as cute as some of the others, but we worked around Label's Football Shirt and added some blue "Sporty" items including Jogging Shorts, Sporty Shades, Hi-Tech Sneakers, and a Retro Sports Bag. 

For the "Theatrical" style you can use costume items of your choosing. We went for a Steampunk outfit, but you could also use things like a Power Suit and Power Helmet to look like Iron Man, or something cute like a Caterpillar Costume.

We went a little crazy with the "Vacation" style outfit, incorporating a summer vibe with a Tie-Dye Shirt, yellow Heart Shades, orange Three-Quarter Sweatpants, orange Slip-On Loafers, and a Canvas Backpack. Don't judge us, we just wanted something bright and happy. 

For the "Work" style, we decided to put together a "Nurse" outfit. You can go with any job for this category though, so you could use a Cafe Uniform, Diner Apron, Worker's Jacket, and so on. It's entirely up to you! 

In conclusion, when you put the right outfit together for Label, you’ll receive rewards including a Tailors Ticket equivalent to 3,000 Bells at the Able Sisters shop, an exclusive Labelle clothing item, and the item that Label gave you to start with like the Football Shirt for your “Sporty” outfit.
