As you work your way through Animal Crossing: New Horizons, one of the main goals you’ll have is to have K.K. Slider come and perform on your island. For this to happen, you’ll need to do several things, and meet several requirements. To make the process clearer, we’ve put together a guide explaining how to get K.K. How to get K.K. Slider to perform in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, having K.K. Slider perform on your island is one of the final aspects of the main campaign. Obviously you can keep playing the game after this, but it’s a fantastic goal to reach. As expected, it can be somewhat time-consuming getting K.K. Slider to visit as you’ll need to complete several tasks on your island, and rating requirements as told to you by Isabelle.
- To get K.K. Slider to perform, you’ll first need to run through your basic island setup by completing the following tasks:
- Pay off your Getaway Package (5,000 Nook Miles).
- Gather 30 Softwood, Hardwood, Wood, and Iron to build the Nook’s Cranny shop.
- Build a bridge as given to you by Tom Nook.
- Set up three homes for Villagers with all the required furnishings.
- Invite new Villagers from other islands by exchanging your Nook Miles for a Nook Miles Ticket whenever you have an open home available.
- Upgrade the Resident Services Center.
- Set up a Campground for Villagers to visit your island.
You can invite Villagers this way as well as long as you have a home available. All of the above steps can take quite a bit of time, but once you’ve done all of them, you’ll be well on your way to having K.K. Slider perform on your island. Of course, you’re not quite there yet as there are a few additional requirements you’ll need to meet. Mainly, you’ll need a 3 Star Rating at minimum.
To meet this goal, you’ll want to spend some time sprucing up your island. This can be extremely fun as you get to determine what goes where and how everything looks. That said, the more outdoor furniture you have set up the better. You’ll also want to buy and plant flowers not only by your home, but all around your island.
For example, you can plant some flowers by your Villagers’ homes. Speaking of Villagers, you’ll also need 7 or more Villagers living on your island before K.K. Slider will agree to visit. To get more Villagers, you’ll need to speak to Tom Nook in the Resident Services Center and ask to sell land. For 10,000 Bells, you’ll get additional housing kits to set up wherever you please.

You won’t need to furnish these like you did with your initial three. You can invite Villagers from other islands visited with a Nook Miles Ticket, or those that come and stay at your Campground. To see if your island has a 3 Star Rating, speak with Isabelle at the Resident Services Center and she’ll give you an evaluation.
If you’ve met all of the requirements, Isabelle will tell you that K.K. Slider is impressed. Tom Nook will then contact K.K. Slider and ask him to come hold a concert on the island. As expected, K.K. Slider will agree, and will hold his concert the following day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. After that, he'll visit every Saturday to perform, and will even take song requests!
Again, to get K.K. slider to perform, you’ll need to finish the basic island setup and get a 3 Star Rating for your island. Chip away at all of these tasks little by little, and you’ll be well on your way to being serenaded by the talented K.K. Slider!
