The first thing you’ll need to do in order to change your island flag in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is to unlock Town Hall. If you’re uncertain how to do this, we have a guide that outlines all of the steps you’ll need to complete to open Town Hall. With Town Hall unlocked, head inside and speak with Isabelle at the counter.

In the options you’ll see things like “change the island tune” as well as “change the island flag.” You’ll want to select “change the island flag” and then you’ll have the option to choose from one of your custom designs. If you end up disliking the design you’ve chosen for your island flag, rest assured that you’re free to change your island flag at any time.

All you need to do is head into Town Hall, speak to Isabelle, choose the option to change the island flag, and then pick the design you’d like to use. Simple as that!
