If you’re wondering how to open Town Hall in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’re not alone. You might’ve seen the regal Town Hall building on one of your friend’s islands, or you may be tracking things you need to complete as you play. Either way, the important thing to note is you’ll have to complete a few steps to get Town Hall to open.

First, you’ll need to open Blathers’ Museum. To do this, you’ll want to start by speaking to Tom Nook and handing over 5 different fish and bugs. After that, he’ll invite Blathers to the island, and you can continue giving your fish and bugs to him in his tent along with any Fossils you find. After handing over 10 fish and bugs to Blathers, he’ll be able to open his museum.

After that, you’re going to want to work your way through the Nook’s Cranny Shop quest by acquiring 30 of each type of wood and 30 iron to give to Timmy. With the Nook’s Cranny Shop built, and open, you’ll be able to speak to Tom Nook to build your first bridge. When you’ve built your Bridge, you’ll be able to set up Housing Kits for future villagers to occupy.

Set up all three as specified (with furniture) and then buy Nook Miles Tickets to visit random islands. At these islands, you can invite the Villagers you find there to come live on your island. When you’ve added three Villagers to your island, you’ll be able to convert your Resident Services Center into a Town Hall.

Inside Town Hall, you’ll be able to meet up with an Animal Crossing favorite, Isabelle! To recap, you’ll need to build Blathers’ Museum, build the Nook’s Cranny Shop, build a Bridge, set up three Housing Kits, invite three Villagers, speak to Tom Nook to convert the Resident Services Center to a Town Hall.
