One common question that Animal Crossing: New Horizons players have is how to get a Slingshot. What’s nice about this item is there are two different ways in which you can get one. First, you can purchase a Slingshot from Timmy in the Resident Services Building. The Slingshot is listed under Misc. Items and can be purchased for 900 Bells.
Want to save your Bells? You can also craft a Slingshot, though this takes a bit more work to accomplish. First, you’ll need to buy the Slingshot recipe from Timmy for 300 Bells (cheaper than buying a Slingshot outright). In the Slingshot Recipe, you’ll see that you need to gather 5 Hardwood.
Once you have the necessary amount of Hardwood, head to the Resident Services Building and approach the DIY Workbench. Interact with the Workbench and craft your Slingshot with the Recipe and your 5 Hardwood. Once you have a Slingshot, you may be wondering what to do with it. Well, you’ll need to equip the Slingshot from your pocket, selecting the Slingshot, and tapping A two times.
With your Slingshot equipped, you can use it to shoot at things by pressing A. One of the best uses for the Slingshot is in shooting down floating Presents. These Presents often contain useful items, so by having a Slingshot on hand, you’ll be ready whenever you spot one. To recap, the quickest way to get a Slingshot is to buy one for 900 Bells.
Alternatively, a cheaper option is to purchase a Slingshot Recipe for 300 Bells, gather 5 Hardwood, and then craft the Slingshot using a DIY Workbench.
