Much like the 2016 Doom game, annoyingly there’s no option to change language within Doom Eternal. The game will automatically use whatever your console’s language settings are, or in the case of PC players, what your Steam language is. If you don’t mind a temporary change to the UI, you can change the language in Doom Eternal by playing with the settings of Steam or your console. Here’s how to change language for Doom Eternal on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

How to change language on PS4

  • Navigate to Settings from the main manu.
  • Choose Select Language, and then System Language.
  • Pick the language you want Doom Eternal to play with.
  • Run Doom Eternal.

How to change language on Xbox One

  • From the home menu, navigate to Settings.
  • Select All Settings, and then Language and Location.
  • Pick the language you want Doom Eternal to play with.
  • Run Doom Eternal

How to change language on PC

  • Open Steam and swap to the Library tab.
  • Find Doom Eternal and click Properties.
  • Swap to the Language tab.
  • Pick the language you want Doom Eternal to play with.
  • Run Doom Eternal.

It’s a bit of a pain that there aren’t any in-game options to change language in Doom Eternal, but if you don’t mind a little menu tinkering, it’s not too tough to swap it outside of the game. For more Doom Eternal guides, check out our articles on how to heal and how the Extra Life mode works.
