To get the Shrine Maiden Smithing Text in Nioh 2, you’re going to need to take on Yatsu-no-Kami. That’s the fiendish snake boss with a giant blade-horn protruding from its head. The bugger is particularly tough, summoning many smaller snake minions to harass you while you fight. So that’s the bad news, ready for the worst?

The Shrine Maiden Smithing Text isn’t a guaranteed drop by beating Yatsu-no-Kami. It could take you upwards of 10 runs of the boss in order to get the drop. Get ready to learn all of its attack patterns and practice dodging those snakes, because you might be at this for quite some time. If Yatsu-no-Kami is a very tough fight for you right now, you should probably consider levelling up a bit and returning once you’re more capable of cutting cleanly through. Then again, you could get lucky and receive the drop on your first try! Keep at it and eventually you’ll receive the Shrine Maiden Smithing Text in Nioh 2.
