Every Samurai slips up eventually, and with so many skills available in Nioh 2, you’re bound to make some mistakes. As you develop your character. This is especially confusing given the Book of Reincarnation states that it will “reset your level and skills”. However, you need a different approach to respec the Learn Skills trees. To reset your skills you need to instead head to the Dojo from the map screen. Once in the Dojo, you can press Triangle to reset your talent trees. Be warned that this will charge a hefty price, so make sure you’re certain that you want to go ahead before doing so. If you’re sure, accept and this should let you reassign all your skill points as desired.
How to reset levels in Nioh 2
If you want to go for a full respec and essentially start from the beginning with your character, you can also purchase the Book of Reincarnation once you unlock the Blacksmith after beating The Beast Born of Smoke and Flames mission. Look in the Blacksmith’s buy menu and you’ll find the Book of Reincarnation for 10k Gold. Despite its description, using this item from your inventory will only reset your level points to be reassigned (Heart, Dexterity, etc.) up to your current progress.

The Book of Reincarnation is a very expensive option, and it’ll only get pricier. The first time it’ll cost 10k Gold, then the second it’ll increase to 30k, then eventually 100k Gold. Basically, try not to need to do this very often. You can also buy the Book of Reincarnation from the Hidden Teahouse for 800 Glory once you’ve unlocked it. Still expensive, but at least an alternate route.
