You can’t just go third-person any time you please in Call of Duty: Warzone, which makes sense if you think about it, as otherwise players would be using it to peak around corners all the time. However, there are crucial times where you’ll be able to use a third person camera to your advantage.

While parachuting from the aeroplane you can activate third-person camera by holding the Free Look button (Q on PC by default). This is a great way to spy your enemies while parachuting down, letting you make sure you’re landing safely, or at least beating them to that prized gun!

You’ll also enter third-person when hopping in any form of vehicle, which is especially handy as years of Battlefield games have taught us that flying a helicopter in first person is not an easy feat.

So now you know when and how to swap to third-person in Call of Duty: Warzone. There’s a chance Activision will add a full third-person mode in the future of the game, but we wouldn’t advise holding your breath until then (even if it does steady your sniper scope). Good luck out there in the royale!
