You’ll first customize your character when you start Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but as you play you’ll open up new hairstyles and options that you might want to try out. Thankfully, it’s very easy to change appearance in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. All you need is a mirror or vanity in your home. Yep, that means poor Harriet is out of a job, but at least this way you can shift things around more easily!

Once you’ve got a mirror, place it somewhere you can reach in your home, then all you need to do is approach it and stare deeply into your own soul (press the use button). You’ll be given the chance to head back to the character creation menu again and tweak anything you want by selecting “Change it up!” from the menu.

This will pop you into the character customization menu, where you can adjust skin ton, hairstyle, eyes, nose, mouth, cheek details and title. Once you’re happy with your selection, hit confirm at the bottom and you’ll be returned to the game.
