We’ll start with the big point. To unlock the 5th skill slot in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem you need to have completed the three acts of the story. Once you’ve wrapped that up, you’ll then need to take part in the restoration of Stormfall. This is an endgame sequence in which you rebuild the Stormfall Institute as part of the town planning process.

If you’re committed to this path, you’ll need to spend 200k Gold, 6k Primordial Affinity and 5k Productivity, as well as several days in real-time (not grinding in-game, thankfully) to see the Stormfall Institute restored. Once you’ve followed this path, you’ll finally unlock the 5th skill slot in Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem.

So if it’s been tempting you from the beginning of the game, we’re sorry to say that there’s a long way to go yet to claim that final slot, but if you work hard and follow the story through, you’ll be rewarded once you start to build your character for the endgame content like Veteran and Champion expeditions.
