In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, players have the ability to fast travel using the Rescue Service feature found inside their NookPhone. Additionally, you have a map that you can use to help orient yourself, and it’s possible there will be other modes of fast travel in Animal Crossing: New Horizons once the game is released. However, the only confirmed method of fast travel that we know as of the time of this writing is the Rescue Service option.

Again, to use Rescue Service, simply open up your NookPhone and select the icon with the helicopter on it. After doing this, the screen will go dark and when you open your eyes again, you’ll find yourself at a previous safe location. In the video, that location is your home Tent.
