Epic Games has been teasing the launch of Chapter 2 in Fortnite Season 2 for a while, prompting gamers to ask the question… when does it start? With all the hype surrounding Chapter 2, it can be difficult to wait, especially when you don’t know how long you’ll be waiting for. To help, we’ve put together a quick guide that goes over when Chapter 2 of Fortnite Season 2 starts.
When does Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 start?
The answer to the question of when Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 2 starts is February 20 at 1 a.m. (PST), 3 p.m. (CST), and 4 p.m. (EST). Technically, you won’t be able to jump in and play Chapter 2 at this time, it’s only when the server downtime begins. That said, it marks the beginning of the launch of Chapter 2.
Once the servers come back online, you’ll be able to explore everything Chapter 2 has to offer in Fortnite Season 2. Interesting notes posted alongside the server downtime update include confirmation that patches for Season 2 will be larger than normal. As such, Fortnite players can expect quite a few changes, additions, and updates to the game once Season 2 officially goes live.
As for what those will be, hints suggest presence of an Augmented Reality Game (ARG) and a mysterious black and gold theme. In other news, you can now use a Rick Roll emote in Fortnite and despite being a dead meme, it's actually kind of cool. Check it out in action in the video below!
