Get Deathbringer in Destiny 2

The Deathbringer Exotic Rocket Launcher is an unusual, powerful weapon. here's how to get it in Destiny 2.

We’d argue that all of Destiny 2’s weapons could reasonably be named Deathbringer, but this exotic rocket launcher lays a special claim to the title. If you’ve beaten Shadowkeep’s campaign then you can get this explosive monster, so in this guide we’ll teach you how to get Deathbringer in Destiny 2.

Before you can get Deathbringer in Destiny 2, you need to have finished the Shadowkeep campaign. If you’ve not done that already, get to it. Once that’s finished, speak to Eris Morn to get the quest Memory of Sai Mota. This is the quest that’ll grant the all-important Symphony of Death quest when beaten. Here’s a quick summary of each step to get Deathbringer:

  • Complete the Shadowkeep campaign and speak with Eris Morn.
  • Collect the Memory of Sai Mota and Lunar Spelunker quests.
  • Lunar Spelunker: Loot three chests in Lost Sectors and access the terminal in K1 Revelations.
  • Sai Mota’s Necklace: Defeat Nightmares on the Moon using Arc abilities then speak with Eris Morn.
  • Start Symphony of Death.
  • Faculties of the Skull: Visit the Circle of Bones on the Moon and fight the Hive.
  • Tainted Lullaby: Take the Silent SKull to Eris Morn.
  • Marrow’s Elegy: Collect the bones from the Moon.
  • Thy Honored Conductor: Defeat Sulmakta during the Scarlet Keep strike.
  • Of Darkest Harmony: Defeat bosses and Guardians.
  • Choir of the Damned: Enter the Aria and defeat the Deathsinger, Ir Airam.
  • A Death of Nightmares: Deliver the skull to Eris Morn

Lunar Spelunker

After grabbing the quest from Eris Morn, pick up her weekly bounty called Lunar Spelunker. To complete this you need to access three Lost Sectors on the Moon. Complete the Lost Sectors K1 Communion, K1 Logistics and K1 Crew Quarters and loot the chests at the end.

Once that’s done, head to the K1 Revelations Lost Sector in Sorrow’s Harbor. Battle through it, then look for the small tunnel next to the loot at the end. Crawl in and interact with the terminal you find inside to get Sai Mota’s Broken Necklace.

Sai Mota’s Necklace

You now need to repair Sai Mota’s necklace by defeating Nightmares on the Moon with Arc abilities. Lost Sectors or Nightmare Hunts are the best place to do this, and make sure to use Arc Abilities to defeat them rather than your weapons. Once you’re done, use the Sanctuary portal to find Eris at the lookout near the Pyramid. She’ll hand over the Symphony of Death quest to get the Deathbringer in Destiny 2.

Faculties of the Skull

The first stage in the Symphony of Death quest is to head to the Circle of Bones. It’s in Hellmouth, down in the caverns underneath the moon. Look for the blue banner on your map and track it to make your journey there easy. Once you get down there you need to stop the Hive’s Wicked Communion in the Summoning Pits. You’ll get the Silent Skull as a reward. Take it to Eris Morn to get the next stage of the quest.

Marrow’s Elegy

Now you need to collect the Festering Bone, Ritualistic Bone and Bone Collector from around the Moon. The Festering Bone is earned from a Public Event on the Moon, so wander around Hellmouth until one starts. The Ritualistic Bone is obtained by completing the Sorrow’s Harbor Lost Sector. You’ll find it in the chest at the end. Finally, Bone Collector is a random spawn, but can appear near the regional chest in Anchor of light.

Thy Honored Collector

Next up is a fight with Sulmakta during the Scarlet Keep strike. You’ll find High Conductor Sulmakta on the elevator trip to the last boss. The second time the elevator stops, look for Sulmakta in the right side of the area.

Of Darkest Harmony

Record the agonizing wails of Guardians and enemies. Fun, right? The best way to do this is to take on Public Events as they’ll offer up plenty of enemies to tackle. Just make sure you’re killing enemies on the Moon and you’ll build up to the total.

Choir of the Damned

The final stage in your journey to get Deathbringer in Destiny 2. Track the banner on your map and follow it down into the Circle of Bones once more in Hellmouth. You’ll find a banner, so activate it and follow your pal Toland around. You’ll need to fight through several areas, making sure you kill the Wizards to stop them completing their deathsong (it’ll kill you after 60 seconds have passed). Keep on jogging and you’ll eventually face the Ir Airam, a Deathsinger in the Catacombs. Beat her and return the Singing Skull to Eris Morn.

Once you’ve given the Singing Skull to Eris Morn you’ll get the Deathbringer as a reward. Phew! That was a lengthy quest, but one well worth it as the Deathbringer drops at +5 of your base power. Have fun playing with the strange explosive-lobbing weapon.
