Kinu is one of the handful of rare Temtem you can find. As one of the more powerful Temtem among the rare Temtem, having a Kinu on your Squad may be a good idea. For example, if you picked something other than Houchic at the start of the game, Kinu offers an array of powerful Mental Type moves for you to experiment with. So, where do you get a Kinu?

Well, the only place you can really get a Kinu is within the Giant Banyan. Note that you need to progress through the campaign and help Carlos defeat Clan Belsoto at the Giant Banyan first. To get to the Giant Banyan, you’ll need to take the Elevator over to Citerior Omninesia. Because this area lacks a HealTem Station, you should use the HealTem Station in Ulterior Omninesia that’s located right near the Elevator.

That way, if you need to use a Smoke Bomb to escape, you’ll be taken back to an area that’s not too far away from Citerior Omninesia as you can simply hop on the Elevator and head back. Once you’re in the Giant Banyan, simply move around in the grassy areas on the top and bottom floors. You’ll encounter a lot of Spriole and a few Loali, but be patient and stick with your search.

Eventually, you’ll come across a Kinu. The Kinu you encounter will be around Level 24 through Level 26. As such, bring a Temtem that can whittle down Kinu’s health without knocking it out completely. Making Kinu sleep is another great idea as Kinu is rather hard to catch. We also recommend using a TemCard+ during the capture process.

Once you get a Kinu, you can use its Mental Type moves to combat Neutral and Melee types, while also being able to use its Nature Type moves against Water and Earth types. To recap, Kinu can be found in the Giant Banyan located in Citerior Omninesia in Temtem. Kinu is an extremely rare spawn so keep in mind that you need to circle around the Giant Banyan for a decent amount of time before you find one.
