The obvious answer to the question of what happens when you run out of Temtem is that you “die” as you can’t continue a battle if you don’t have any Temtem. However, what is the price you have to pay for such a loss? Well, you’ll lose a decent amount of Temtem currency. Without Temtem currency, you won’t be able to buy Balms, TemCards, and other useful items.
The other penalty for running out of Temtem is that you’ll be taken all the way back to the last safe location you visited. In most cases, this is a Temporium or small HealTem station. Depending on how far you’ve progressed through a certain area, being set all the way back can be a real pain as you may encounter wild Temtem as you work your way back to where you were when you ran out of Temtem.
As expected, you’ll want to avoid running out of Temtem as much as possible to avoid losing Temtem currency and being taken all the way back to the last HealTem station you visited.
