TikTok's competition for new Fortnite emote brings out questionable moves

The #EmoteRoyaleContest on TikTok is nearing its end and there's some truly bad dancing out there.

Fortnite is recruiting new dance moves using a competition on TikTok to find the next big emote for Epic's monsterous game.

The #EmoteRoyaleContest on the musical video-sharing app gives fans the chance to be the meme everyone loves to spam in their favorite battle royale game. Posting a video of the dance, along with the hashtag, is enough to enter the competition and be in with a chance of being included in the game, as well as a big prize of 25,000 V-bucks and a Fortnite VIP package. If that sounds good to you, hurry up because there's just a few more days left to get your dance in with a chance.

Dances must be made to a set of tracks that Epic has approved for use on the app, presumably so you're already in rhythm with tracks they already have in the game. It makes a change from the usual method of acquiring new dances from basically anyone from Scrubs star Donald Faison, to rapper 2Milly.

The current caliber of dance picking up popularity as people browse through the entries is on part with Orange Shirt Kids "The Random", so you could be looking at a jumble of limbs coming to the Fortnite store near you soon.

There are also some incredibly talented entrants, too. Such as this effort from YouTuber CallMeCarson. Just astounding. Look at that poise.

Expect whatever wins this particular contest to be instantly memeable and a classic worthy of anyone's bulging Fortnite inventory. Have you entered #EmoteRoyaleContest? In the words of the great Captain: Show me your moves!
