It’s one of the best days of the week, Friday, which means it’s officially Xur time in Destiny 2! If you’re new to Destiny 2, Xur is an Exotic goods vendor that appears at a randomized Destiny 2 location every Friday. By finding and interacting with Xur, you’re able to browse his updated inventory of Exotics.
Because Xur’s location changes every week, it can be a bit time-consuming to track him down, especially if you’re gunning to buy a new Exotic weapon. Fortunately, Xur tends to rotate through places he’s previously spawned. Furthermore, Xur will remain at his chosen location from Friday until Tuesday, giving you plenty of time to scrounge up a few more Legendary Shards.

Where to find Xur in Destiny 2 - January 17, 2020

In Destiny 2, Xur serves as an Exotic goods vendor that appears at random locations every Friday. While Xur typically cycles between areas he’s previously spawned in, it can be hard to travel to all of these potential spawn points in order to find him. Another thing to keep in mind when hunting for Xur is that you won’t be able to find him until Friday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST) or later.
If you show up too early you may miss Xur even if you correctly guess where his weekly spawn will be. When Xur finally appears in Destiny 2, he’ll stay put at his chosen location and will sell Exotics to anyone with enough Legendary Shards on hand. Again, Xur will be available in Destiny 2 from Friday until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST).
After Tuesday, you’ll need to wait until the following Friday at the same time to find Xur again. During the week of January 17, Xur can be found in the Watcher’s Grave area on Nessus. To reach Xur, you’ll need to spawn in on Nessus, then make your way over to Calus’ Barge. On top of Calus’ Barge, you’ll find Xur.

Starting on January 10, Destiny 2 players can pay a visit to Xur at the location outlined above. When you reach Xur, you’ll be able to browse through his updated inventory of Exotic items, with Xur’s inventory refreshing every week. In Destiny 2, everything sold by Xur can be purchased using Legendary Shards, with most items priced at or around 23 Legendary Shards in total.
In addition to Exotic armor pieces for Titans, Hunters, and Warlocks, Destiny 2 players can purchase one Exotic weapon from Xur each week along with a Fated Engram. - Shinobu’s Vow (Exotic Hunter Gauntlets) - 23 Legendary Shards

Along with Exotic armor pieces like the Shinobu’s Vow, Xur has The Colony available for purchase this week. If you’re a fan of grenade launchers, The Colony is a nasty little beast that’s an absolute blast both literally and figuratively. Of course, if you prefer a regular gun or sword, it makes sense if you’d opt to save your Legendary Shards and check back in again with Xur next week.
