In Temtem, there are 3 Starters that you can choose from which include Crystle, Houchic, and Smazee. In addition to offering their own unique look that grows as they evolve, these Starters offer different Types which can be strong against some, and weak against others. Ultimately, picking a Starter in TemTem is up to you. If you prefer one over the rest, even if its Type isn’t your favorite, that’s totally fine. In the end, all of these Starters are equally as useful depending on how you spend your time in Temtem.
Temtem Starters - Crystle

- Evolutions: Evolves into Sherald after 30 levels.
Crystle (#72) is a Starter under the Crystal Type umbrella. After 30 levels, Crystle will evolve into Sherald (#73). Crystle resembles a green turtle, though in its description it’s noted that Crystle are closer to minerals than fauna.

Temtem Starters - Houchic

Houchic (#32) is a Starter under the Mental Type umbrella. After 29 levels, Houchic will evolve into Tental (#33). Houchic is purple with hints of green and has a slightly humanoid appearance. In Houchic’s description, it’s described as being empathetic and intuitive.

- Evolutions: Evolves into Baboong after 29 levels.
Smazee (#92) is a Starter under the Melee Type umbrella. After 29 levels, Smazee will evolve into Baboong (#93). Smazee is an orange monkey that looks quite cheerful. This makes sense, as its description indicates Smazee were bred as playmates and babysitters for children.
