It’s the most wonderful time of the week… Xur’s back in Destiny 2! If you’re new to the game, Xur is an Exotic goods vendor that appears every Friday at a randomized location in Destiny 2. By finding and speaking to Xur, you’ll be able to purchase Exotic items in exchange for Legendary Shards.
Because Xur’s location changes each week, it can be tricky to have to spend time searching for him if you plan to purchase some Exotics. Fortunately, Xur tends to pick places to spawn that he’s previously visited. Additionally, Xur will remain at his chosen location from Friday until Tuesday, giving you plenty of time to bake some cookies for him.
With The Dawning event live in Destiny 2, Guardians should try to at least give Xur some cookies this week, even if they don’t plan on buying Exotics. To help simplify everything, we’ve put together a guide breaking down where you can find Xur in Destiny 2 and all of the Exotic items he has available for purchase during the week of December 20, 2019.
Where to find Xur in Destiny 2 - December 20, 2019

In Destiny 2, Xur acts as the game’s Exotic goods vendor who appears at a random location on Friday. While Xur will typically cycle between areas he’s previously visited, it can be a pain to have to travel to all of these potential locations in order to find him. Something else to keep in mind when looking for Xur is that you won’t be able to find him until Friday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST).
Because of this, you’ll want to wait to begin your search until at least 10:00 a.m. (PST) or later as you may miss Xur if you arrive at his designated location too early. When Xur finally appears in Destiny 2, he’ll stay put and sell Exotics to anyone with enough Legendary Shards on hand. Again, Xur will remain at his chosen location from Friday until Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. (PST), 1:00 p.m. (EST), and 6:00 p.m. (BST).
After Tuesday, you’ll need to wait until the following Friday at the same time to find Xur again. During the week of December 20, Xur can be found inside The Rig on Titan. To reach Xur, spawn in on Titan, then travel to the landing zone. At the edge of the platform is an open outbuilding. Near this outbuilding, you’ll find Xur.

Starting on December 20, you can visit Xur at the location outlined above. At this location, you’re able to gift Xur some cookies, or browse through his updated inventory of Exotic items, with Xur’s inventory refreshing each week. In Destiny 2, everything sold by Xur can be purchased with Legendary Shards, with most items priced at or around 23 Legendary Shards in total.
Along with Exotic armor pieces for Hunters, Warlocks, and Titans, Destiny 2 players can purchase one Exotic weapon from Xur each week as well as a Fated Engram. In addition to Exotic armor pieces like the Assassin’s Cowl, Xur has a Two-Tailed Fox available for purchase this week. It’s been a while since we’ve seen the Two-Tailed Fox in Xur’s inventory. If you’re looking for a fun rocket launcher to play around with, it may be worth your while to pick up a Two-Tailed Fox while it’s available.
