The Steam Winter Sale 2019 goes live today.

Watch out, watch out, Gabe Newell is about! And he’s here to raid your bank account once again. Yes the Steam Sale is in full swing again this winter, offering discounts on all manner of games. So get ready to head into the icy wilds and find them deals, folks.

The Steam Winter Sale 2019 is set to go live at 10 am PT (1pm ET, 6pm GMT), at which point you'll magically discover you're out of money. We don't even know what happened, but there appear to be 20 new games you'll never play in your Steam Library, so at least some good has come of it.

Too busy right now to peruse the offers? You have until the new year to score the deals you’re after, so consider long and hard what you want to spend the last dregs of your money on — provided the summer sale left you with any to spend that is. Originally the Steam Sales worked on a system of flash sales that only lasted a few days at most, but recent years have put all offers available throughout, to ensure that no one misses out if they’re unable to take part from the start.

Keep an eye out for discounts on big titles from earlier in the year including Resident Evil 2, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Kingdom Hearts 3. As usual there are plenty of franchise and publisher offers included as well, provided a healthy dose of discounts on every game they’ve got on Valve’s distribution platform.

What will you be hunting for in the Steam Winter Sale 2019? Let us know in the comments below so we can steal your ideas! Actually, scratch that, we’re pretty sure we just saw Gabe trying to rifle through our bank account details again. Gabe! Stop that or we’ll load up the Epic Games Launcher again!
