Best gaming soundtracks of 2019

Prepare your ears for the best gaming soundtracks of 2019!

Pokemon Sword & Shield

Love or hate Pokemon Sword & Shield, one thing you can’t deny is that its soundtrack was absolutely amazing. Seriously, we can’t get the Gym Battle Theme out of our heads! As a franchise, Pokemon has always had incredible, iconic music and Sword & Shield is no different.

In fact, you’ll find a lot of updated staples in Pokemon Sword & Shield – including the Pokemon Center Theme – but modernized and tailored to the Galar region. A Pokemon game wouldn’t be complete without a stellar soundtrack, and Pokemon Sword & Shield most definitely delivers when it comes to tunes.

Devil May Cry 5

As a series, Devil May Cry has always had fantastic music, and Devil May Cry 5 certainly follows in the shoes of games that came before it. It’s hard saying that Devil May Cry 5 beat out DmC: Devil May Cry for “best Devil May Cry” soundtrack but it’s true (no matter how much we love Throat Full of Glass).

The moment we heard Devil Trigger, we were hooked and it’s something we bump in our car on the daily. Another cool aspect to the music is that the better you perform in battle, the more the soundtrack amps up around you. It’s truly headbang worthy. There are also surprise tracks in other genres like Nico’s Theme that help round everything out in terms of genre and tone, and come as a nice surprise overall.
