To get Dark Ether Cane in Destiny 2, you need to kill Scorn enemies during The Dawning. This is the only known way to get Dark Ether Cane and unfortunately it’s far from guaranteed. You’ll need to head to an area packed with Scorn like the Tangled Shore and go to town. There’s a chance of earning Dark Ether Cane with each kill, so start slaying Scorn and cross your fingers that the gods of RNG look favorably upon you this day.

Dark Ether Cane can be used to bake Candy Dead Ghosts for The Spider and to make Fried Sha-Dough for Calus. You’ll likely be here for the latter, as doing so is part of the main quest for this year’s Dawning period, Spreading Cheer. To complete the Sha-Dough you also require Superb Texture and Essence of Dawning. You can grab Superb Texture by killing enemies with your Super. To get Essence of Dawning, all you need to do is partake in activities during the Dawning.
