Nintendo Switch is NA's fastest selling console in just 10 months

4.8 million units sold in the US since March 2017.

The Nintendo Switch has become the fastest selling console in America after shifting 4.8 million units in its first 10 months on the market.

Alongside those new consoles, there is a reported attach rate of 60% of owners getting Super Mario Odyssey, and 55% with Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

It's probable those stats are so high given the overwhelmingly positive reception of both, and the relative scarcity of its early launch line-up which has now broadened to more than 300 games from third-party developers.

The total sold overtakes Nintendo's own record with the wildly popular family console the Wii moving just 4 million units within the same 10 month period on its 2006 release.

Nintendo have said the 2018 games line-up should be even more enticing for fans as EA, Activision, Ubisoft, Capcom, SEGA, Take 2 and Bethesda have promised releases through the year. From Nintendo themselves we can expect Kirby Star Allies, both Bayonetta games and a new Yoshi game.
