The release date for Bleeding Edge was announced at X019 along with new info, including all of the characters that will be playable at launch. With Bleeding Edge scheduled to hit Xbox One and PC on March 24, 2020, it may be a good idea to check out the list of playable characters now in order to pick out your favorites. When Bleeding Edge releases on Xbox One and PC on March 24, 2020, it’ll have 12 playable characters to choose from. As with any other 4v4 multiplayer game, all of these characters come with different skills and abilities. By playing each one and getting a feel for them, you’ll likely find yourself gravitating towards a few favorites.

Of course, looking over their names, details, and stats now before the game launches should give you a slight advantage. After all, you’ll be able to jump into the game already knowing who you want to play first and what they do. Below, we’ve listed all 12 characters that will be playable in Bleeding Edge when the game launches on March 24, 2020!

Buttercup

  • Class: Melee Heavy
  • Difficulty: 1/5

Basic Abilities

  • Saw Blades: Slice through enemies with circular saw blades.
  • Launch: Spin up the back wheel, then launch forward, collecting enemies with a shoulder barge.
  • Burl: Move faster and regenerate health. Costs stamina.

Specials

  • Yank: Chain an enemy, and yank them back to you.
  • Oil Slick: Drop a puddle of oil that slows enemies.
  • Whiplash: Unleash a flurry of whipping blades that damage all nearby enemies.

Supers

  • Burnout: An epic burnout that damages enemies and knocks them away.
  • Turbo Charged: Temporarily increase damage, lifesteal and max health.

Cass

  • Difficulty: 5/5

Basic Abilities

  • Feathered Darts: Throw a volley of darts at the enemy.
  • Evade: Dodge out of harm’s way. Costs stamina.
  • Charge Jump: Charge up then perform a huge jump.
  • Momentum (Passive): Gain speed whilst running continuously.

Specials

  • Swoop: Dash through enemies in a line, dealing damage.
  • Rake: A powerful raking combo with no cooldown.
  • Hightail: Leap backwards and unleash a fan of blades.

Supers

  • Dive Bomb: Take to the skies, relocate, then plummet down on unsuspecting enemies.
  • Blade Dance: Spin in a graceful pirouette, unleashing a flurry of damaging blades all around.

Daemon

  • Class: Melee Assassin
  • Difficulty: 2/5

Basic Abilities

  • Graffiti Blade: Slice through your enemies with speed and finesse.
  • Evade: Dodge out of harm’s way. Costs stamina.
  • Wall Jump: Boost off walls for extra height. Costs stamina.

Specials

  • Shift: Surge forward quickly, and end with a powerful spinning slash.
  • Stealth/Sleep: Temporarily enter stealth. While stealthed: sleep an enemy.
  • Shuriken: Slow enemies, and drain their health.

Supers

  • Death Mark: Grants extra damage against your marked target. Killing them refreshes the super for a short time.
  • Shadow Strike: Rapidly strike enemies in range for a percentage of their max life in damage. 

El Bastardo

Basic Abilities

  • Machetes: Hack enemies, stealing their energy for your Life Support backpack.
  • Evade: Dodge out of harm’s way. Costs stamina.
  • Life Support (Passive): Provides protective shields. Powered up by basic attacks and the Empower special.

Specials

  • Leap of Faith: Leap to a locked-on enemy, stunning them on impact.
  • Death Spiral: Become a sword tornado!
  • Empower: Steal life from nearby enemies, granting energy to Life Support Shields.

Supers

  • Unbreakable: Cannot be killed for a short time. Dealing damage extends the duration.
  • Overload: Your Life Support overloads, dealing constant damage to nearby enemies.

Gizmo

  • Difficulty: 3/5

Basic Abilities

  • GG Gun: Bolt gun whose fire rate increases over time.
  • Evade: Dodge out of harm’s way. Costs stamina.

Specials

  • Sucka: Throw a bomb that sucks enemies in.
  • T-Rut: Deploy a turret that automatically fires at nearby enemies.
  • Bounder: Drop a jump pad that lasts a few seconds. Can also be used by allies.

Supers

  • Rock-It: Ride a giant missile, and detonate for an explosion of fireworks!
  • Mini Mech: Call in your mech suit with extra armour and a flamethrower.

Kulev

Basic Abilities

  • Acid Spit: Spit acid at foes!
  • Evade: Dodge out of harm’s way. Costs stamina.
  • Lucky Charm (Passive): Continuously heal nearby allies.

Specials

  • Sacred Ground: Summon a ward that damages enemies, and heals allies, in an area.
  • Good Omen: Shield an ally. Double tap to cast on self.
  • Curse: Target takes increased damage from all sources.

Supers

  • Boon: Empower an ally with bonus damage, speed and defence.
  • Bamboozle: Mind control an enemy, bending them to your will!

Maeve

  • Zap: Zap bolts of energy from your electrified fingertips.
  • Evade: Dodge out of harm’s way. Costs stamina.
  • Schadenfreude (Passive): Killing an enemy instantly resets all special cooldowns.

Specials

  • Cage: Trap an enemy.
  • Vanish: Disappear and become invulnerable for a short time.
  • Siphon Life: Channel an energy beam that steals life.

Supers

  • Peek-a-Brew: Enter your cauldron and teleport to any visible enemy, stunning them on arrival.
  • Toil and Trouble: Summon a ball of energy that explodes with spectacular damage.

Basic Abilities

  • Fist Fight: Battle enemies in hand-to-hand combat.
  • Slap ‘Em Good: Each combo input can be held for extended slaps and special punches.
  • Toggle Stance: Pepeke Stance (increase movement speed), Ora Stance (constantly regenerate health).

Specials

  • Barge: Charge into enemies, dealing damage and carrying them away.
  • Leg-It/Healthy: Pepeke Stance (cleanse self and nearby allies, and provide a speed boost), Ora Stance (heal self and nearby allies).
  • Repellent: Create a burst of energy that pushes enemies away.

Supers

  • Can’t Touch Us: Make yourself and nearby allies temporarily invulnerable.
  • Katamaori: Roll into a ball and barrel through enemies, knocking them away.

Miko

Basic Abilities

  • Augmetic Staff: Fend enemies off with flowing staff combos.
  • Evade: Dodge out of harm’s way. Costs stamina.
  • Regenerator (Passive): Staff impacts heal a nearby ally with the lowest health.

Specials

  • Chain Heal: Heals an ally, then bounces to a second target for half the amount. Double tap to cast on self.
  • Kinetic Shield: Deploy a dome shield that blocks enemy projectiles and beams.
  • Stasis: Freeze the target in place for a short time.

Supers

  • Stalker: Grant stealth to all allies, and reveal to all enemies. Stealthed allies are also healed over time.
  • Life Force: Channel a powerful heal on an ally.

Nidhogger

Basic Abilities

  • Axe: Hack and slash enemies with your guitar.
  • Shredder: Charge and release static energy that bounces between enemies.
  • Evade: Dodge out of harm’s way. Costs stamina.
  • Feedback: Axe attacks against burning enemies grant lifesteal.

Specials

  • Powerslide: Leave a trail of fire that causes enemies to burn.
  • Fire Breath: Breathe a cone of fire, burning enemies and causing heavy damage.
  • Boomitar: Throw your guitar to slow enemies. If it hits them on the return, they are stunned instead.

Supers

  • Death Growl: Silence all nearby enemies with a deafening roar.
  • Ride the Lightning: Stun all surrounding enemies with an epic guitar solo.

Zero Cool

Basic Abilities

  • Arcade Gun: Shoot baddies. Pew pew!
  • Evade: Dodge out of harm’s way. Costs stamina.
  • Nitro: Upward air boost. Costs stamina.
  • Defrag (Passive): Life rapidly regenerates while not in combat.

Specials

  • Firewall: Drop an impassable wall. Does not block attacks or projectiles.
  • Recharge: A continuous healing beam whose power diminishes while active, and recharges while inactive.
  • Bot: Deploy a bot to follow an ally and auto-fire at nearby enemies.

Supers

  • 1 Up: For a short time, the targeted ally will immediately return to life if killed.
  • Upgrade Protection: Temporarily increase armour of all nearby allies.
