As of right now, the extent to which Collins has invested in ReKTGlobal has yet to be elaborated upon. However, a statement from Collins himself was released that sheds light on why he’s decided to back the global esports business authority, ReKTGlobal.

“Esports is one of the most lucrative industries right now and its future is bright. As a professional athlete and a passionate gamer, I understand and appreciate what ReKTGlobal is doing to further connect the world of traditional sports and esports,” Collins explained. “I love competition and the competitive nature of the gaming industry and I’m excited to enter a new realm of competition through my investment with ReKTGlobal and Rogue.”

Founder and Chairman of ReKTGlobal, Amish Shah, also made a statement regarding Landon Collins and his decision to invest in ReKTGlobal.

“Landon is a passionate gamer who can go head-to-head against esports pros and beat them. A legend on and off the field, Collins is a great fit to add to our all-star list of investors. We are thrilled to welcome him to our organization and growing family.”

ReKTGlobal has established a strong investor list over the last few years. In addition to the newly added Landon Collins, investors include Rudy Gobert from the Utah Jazz, DJ Nicky Romero, EDM star Steve Aoki, Latin music producer Tainy, and Imagine Dragons. ReKTGlobal also own the esports team Rogue, and the Call of Duty London franchise team, the Royal Ravens.

This year, ReKTGlobal signed a deal with Fortnite streamer DrLupo, and signed Michael “ODEE” O’Dell as the company’s Chief Gaming Officer. Furthermore, the company acquired Fullcube along with Greenlit Content. Having done so much in such a short period of time, we’re genuinely excited to see what else ReKTGlobal will announce as we move into 2020!
