Destiny 2's Chocolate Strange Coins let you buy fun masks and items during the Halloween-themed Festival of the Lost event, but you'll need to farm them up first.
As with any limited event currency, to get Chocolate Strange Coins in Destiny 2 you'll need to put in some hard work on a few special game modes to get all those spooky masks you're after.
Here's how to farm Chocolate Strange Coins in Destiny 2, and the best ways we've found to go about getting them.
How to farm Chocolate Strange Coins in Destiny 2
As with the Vex components and other currencies that definitely don't look like currencies in the Destiny universe, Chocolate Strange Coins can be earned from completing activites or as chest loot drops. The important distinction being you MUST be wearing one of Eva Levante's fetching Halloween masks before they'll start dropping for you. You can pick up a Masquerader's Hood from her (and look like Master Rahool if you want) for just 100 glimmer, so buy it and let's get trick or treating.
A few of the ways you can earn Chocolate Strange Coins in Destiny 2 include:
- Completing the Haunted Forest (coins drop from the reward chest at the end)
- Turning in Haunted Forest bounties (you can pick these up from Eva Levante at the tower, she's hard to miss)
- Opening hidden loot crates in the Haunted Forest (they're not always in the same positions so they're hard to find)
- Finishing adventures in the solar system
- HVT drops (rare)
The most efficient way to farm Chocolate Strange Coins is to pick up all the weekly and daily bounties from Eva before heading into the Haunted Forest for a few branches of spooky mayhem. Many of the bounties require you to pick up Candy which you'lld find around the Forest, so make sure you don't forget to do that. Also, again, do NOT forget to be wearing your Masquerader's Mask for this. By picking up bounties and running through the Haunted Forest you'll earn Chocolate Strange Coins for both completing the bounties and the Forest.
Weekly Bounties earn you +5 Chocolate Strange Coins while daily bounties get you +2. Just from bounties alone that means you can get 18 Chocolate Strange Coins on your first day of farming, without even buying additional daily bounties for glimmer. In a week that's 66 coins if you hit every daily bounty. You're going to be wanting at LEAST that many though because this incredible Calus mask goes for 40 coins and there are still others to buy!
Now you've got the best way to farm Chocolate Strange Coins in Destiny 2 sorted out, maybe you'll be ready to take on the Pit of Heresy dungeon that's new this Festival of the Lost.Load Comments
