In Fortnite Chapter 2, Medals and the Medal Punchcard replace Battle Stars. As you play Fortnite and complete specific actions like searching Chests and getting eliminations, you have the opportunity to earn Medals. The objective is to encourage you to play Fortnite and actively participate in all aspects of the game.

For example, the longer you last in a match, the more points you’ll earn towards the Survivor Medal on your Medal Punchcard. Pretty straightforward, right? You’re able to earn 10 Medals per day, which you can then upgrade. Medals come in Bronze, Silver, and Gold. The more you work towards a specific Medal, the closer you’ll get to Gold.

Earning Medals and upgrading them rewards you with bonus XP in Fortnite Chapter 2 which you can use to level up your Battle Pass. Because Medals reset each day, you have the opportunity to log in and harvest even more XP from Medals by earning them on a daily basis.
