The Terminator's Mortal Kombat 11 trailer is ball-crushingly good

Hasta la vista, babies.

The Terminator's back, in pog fighting game form! Arnie's iconic cybertronic hitman will be joining Mortal Kombat 11's roster on October 8 for those with the early access pass.

His latest gameplay trailer shows off some of the moves Schwarzenegger's likeness will be murdering you with, including one particularly painful-looking crotch stomp. Ooh, matron.

It's a pity they couldn't get Arnie himself in to do the dozen or so line reads they needed, though it's nowhere near as bad as the voice acting of previously added DLC characters.

There are a lot of fun nods and winks to the film franchise (which coincidentally has another entry, Terminator: Dark Fate, out on October 25, what are the chances of that?!) including his fight intro which sees him pull a shotgun out of an elongated box of Johnny Cage action figures instead of the rose box in the sequel.

Clever marketing aside, Termy (to his friends) appears to be a heavy grappler with limited ranged attacks, just some shotgun and uzi shots and a ground pound. The shotgun does appear to be capable of doing quite a lot of damage to the abdomen though, as you might expect if he weren't up against literally magic inter-dimensional beings.

The Terminator T-800 is available for owners of the Kombat Pack on October 8, and will become available to others a week later. Other DLC fighters include Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel, Joker and Spawn (though he appears to be MIA after being confirmed months ago).
