Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launch trailer full of fun and games

For a big apocalyptic update to the Destiny 2 story, Shadowkeep sure has a lot of japes.

The Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launch trailer is here to show off all the fun and games you'll be getting up to on the moon on October 1.

With the overall theme of "the moon is our playground", the trailer is focused on much of the fun-filled shenanigans guardians will be getting up to in the new expansion.

With a host of new ways to express yourself, including golf-swinging emotes, stunting on sparrows and close-quarter finishers, this latest update in Destiny 2's epic space opera seems a little less po-faced than other entries.

That's not to say there aren't big bad scary things either. There's a new raid and a dungeon full of fiendish traps to traverse, as well as a fortress to assault with battle tanks. And all this talk of things going bump in the night, there's sure to be some evil to be found on the dark side of the moon.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep also overhauls the armor system, introducing what Bungie are referring to as "Armor 2.0" which will allow you to customize your builds more effectively, whether that's in the new PvE activities and quests, or the new playlists in the PvP Crucible arena.

Shadowkeep also includes all content in the eighth season of the game's post-release roadmap: The Season of the Undying. This will introduce new activities, exotic weapons and universal ornaments while your big number for power keeps getting bigger.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launches on October 1, and will cost $34.99 on PS4, Xbox One and Steam (now that the PC version has migrated from the Battle.net client).
