How to equip Weapon Trinkets in Borderlands 3

New cosmetics have arrived in Borderlands 3 in the form of Weapon Trinkets. Here's how to equip them to your guns!

Borderlands 3 brings much of the same action, shooting and looting that fans of the series have come to expect, but there are several new details sprinkled about. Weapon Trinkets are one such addition, adding a nice cosmetic flavor to your favorite guns. Weapon Trinkets don’t offer any in-game benefit but are a nice way to customize guns and show off to your friends a bit. You’re going to be staring at these weapons for hours after all, so you might as well make them pretty! In case you’re unsure how to use them, here’s how to equip weapon trinkets in Borderlands 3.

Similar to how they’re handled in Rainbow Six Seige, Weapon Trinkets in Borderlands 3 can be added to any gun you have equipped. To do so, open up your Inventory and look at the weapons on the left side of the screen. To the left of each weapon is a small box which should be empty if you don’t have a Weapon Trinket attached. Select this by hitting left of the D-Pad when hovering over your weapon (or clicking it if on PC) and you’ll open up a list of all the Weapon Trinkets you have on the right side of the screen. All you need to do now is pick the trinket you like and it’ll fit into the slot and dangle off your gun.

You can swap out Weapon Trinkets whenever you like, so be sure to check how each one looks on your weapon by closing the menu and returning to the game. Play around with a few and decide on your favorite. There’s no penalty to attaching a trinket, so don’t hesitate to swap them out whenever you want. You can earn new trinkets just like every other bit of loot in Borderlands 3, by completing quests and fighting big baddies.

There you have it, how to equip weapon trinkets in Borderlands 3. Do you like them, or are they just taking up valuable loot rewards that could have been cool weapons? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below and make sure to check out our Borderlands 3 hub for more guides on the game.
