If you want to get the Rocksteady Mantle in Monster Hunter World, you’ll first need to have reached Hunter Rank 50 or higher. Once that’s done, you also need to have successfully hunted three different threat level 3 Tempered Elder Dragons.

A key point here is that the three Tempered Elder Dragons have to be different, you can’t just farm the same dragon over and over. If you’re not up to these big boys yet, you need to complete the main game, followed by the Beyond the Blasting Scales and Thunderous Rumble in the Highlands quests to unlock the threat level 3 fights.

Once you beat all three Tempered Elder Dragons, you’ll get access to the A Summons from Below quest from the Armory. Pick it up and you’ll be asked to hunter two more Tempered beats. Complete these and head back to the Armory to claim your reward of the Rocksteady Mantle.

For clarity’s sake, here are the requirements to get the Rocksteady Mantle:

  • Reach HR 50+
  • Hunt three different Tempered Elder Dragons
  • Complete the A Summons from Below quest from the Armory

There you have it! Clear instructions on how to obtain the Rocksteady Mantle. With it you’ll be able to tank your way through a variety of attacks so that you can really dish out the damage. Just make sure you keep an eye on your health while you’re at it. While you’re here, be sure to browse the rest of our Monster Hunter World guides for more helpful advice!
