While you might generally take out enemies and encampments in a manner that suits one class, in such an open game it’s nice to have the freedom to change your playstyle, and it’s in those time you’ll want to change class as well. The good news is that you aren’t locked into whichever class you pick first, and in this guide we’ll explain how to change class in Ghost Recon Breakpoint.

If you’re looking for how to change class in Ghost Recon Breakpoint, the great news is that you can do it pretty much any time. If you need to mix up your playstyle for a certain mission, all you have to do is visit a Bivouac. These campsites are indicated by smoke trails, and when you set up at one for the first time you’ll unlock it as a tent icon on your map. 

To change class, head to a Bivouac and interact with it to set up camp. You’ll see a few different options at the bottom of the screen, and the one you’re after in this case is Tactics. Select this and you’ll open up a menu which lets you change class and also edit your different loadouts. Pick the class you want from the left side of the screen and you’ll be good to go when you leave camp, though it’s always a good idea to choose the Prepare action as well for a handy buff.

Bear in mind that you need to unlock each class first before you can use them. This can be done from the Skills menu at any time. Simply pause, swap to Skills and you’ll find the classes waiting to be unlocked. Pick between Field Medic, Assault, Panther and Sharpshooter. Once you’ve got them, head back to a Bivouac to change class in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The base levels only cost one point each, so you should be able to afford them pretty quickly.
