Sorry Chief fans, but he won’t be making an appearance in Gears 5 just yet. The two Spartan Halo characters you can get access to in Gears 5 are Emile-A239 and Kat-B320 from Halo: Reach. Both popular characters from Reach’s doomed Noble team, perhaps you’ll be able to lead them to a brighter future in the land of chainsaw-guns.

To get the Halo characters in Gears 5, you’ll need to have either the Gears 5 Ultimate Edition or be a subscriber to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Unfortunately, there’s no other way of earning the two Spartans right now, so if you’re not able to drop the extra dollar, you won’t be able to play as Emile or Kat in Gears 5. If you do fill either of those requirements, you’ll actually receive a bit more than just the Halo characters. The reward bundle also includes a Noble Team Mark, Noble Team Bloodspray, Noble Team Banner and the Noble Team Weapon Set.

Have you picked up Gears 5? Are you looking forward to playing as Halo: Reach Spartans in the Gears of War universe? Let us know in the comments below!
