Aside from facing massive queues just to get in and play WoW Classic, gamers have found that acquiring quest items can be a bit of a pain as well thanks to server overpopulation. Fortunately, they’ve managed to establish an in-game honors system to help bring order out of potential chaos.
Update: There are also polite queue lines being formed to kill a quest mob in WoW Classic and it's absolutely fantastic.
WoW Classic players are forming respectful queues
On Reddit, user metrostarshipp posted an image of what has to be the most wholesome thing we’ve seen in WoW Classic to date. In the image that’s been upvoted over 61,000 times, dozens of WoW Classic players can be seen standing single-file in line, patiently waiting for their turn to pick up an unspecified quest item.
In the chat, the importance of respecting the line is further emphasized, with WoW Classic players calling out anyone who dares disrupt the perfectly balanced queue order. The presence of massive queues to enter WoW Classic, and in-game lines like the one shown by metrostarshipp aren’t exactly surprising given how many players have flocked to WoW Classic following its release.
What’s more, Blizzard was made aware of the server overpopulation issue in the weeks leading up the release thanks to the sheer number of gamers who rushed pre-registered their character names. In the future, these queues should begin to drop off and become more manageable. Until then, it’s nice to see WoW Classic players work together and put forth creative solutions.
Thanks to the quest item line, everyone’s guaranteed the ability to get what they need… eventually. The line itself also showcases the tight-knit community that WoW Classic cultivated all the way back in 2004. We made a lot of friends in WoW Classic, and to this day, they're some of our fondest gaming memories.
Given our history, we couldn’t help but share this image with you as well. While the need for the line is unfortunate, the fact that players can coordinate on something like this is truly heartwarming. What do you think of the player-created lines in WoW Classic? Are they ingenious and pure, or do they emphasize the need for Blizzard to address and correct WoW Classic's server overpopulation? Let us know down in the comments below!
