Two special edition packages for the upcoming remake of Destroy All Humans were revealed by THQ Nordic today. As of right now, you can either pre-order the game by itself or grab it as part of a special edition bundle. Of the two bundles available, the one with the coolest swag is undoubtedly the aptly named “Crypto-137 Edition” which includes a wealth of Crypto-themed collectibles like the hilariously adorable Crypto backpack.

Before we dive into the special editions for Destroy All Humans, it’s worth noting that a specific release date for the game has yet to be announced. It’s possible that THQ Nordic may offer up a release date sometime soon given the fact they’re now offering pre-orders for special editions. Other clues that a release date announcement may be on its way trace back to information uncovered at E3 2019.
Specifically, plans to reveal “additional information” about the Destroy All Humans remake in August. While it’s possible this information could be in reference to the newly announced special editions, there’s plenty of time for THQ to drop a follow-up release date trailer before the end of August. J
On Amazon, the standard edition shows a release date placeholder date of December 31, 2020 which confirms the known 2020 release window. If you’re already set on buying the Destroy All Humans remake, THQ has two special editions for you to consider: the DNA Collector’s Edition and the Crypto-137 Edition. The DNA Collector’s Edition is the cheaper option of the two at $149.99 (USD).

If you’re looking for something a bit bigger, the Crypto-137 Edition includes all of the above along with a Crypto backpack. No word on what materials are being used to create this backpack, but it looks pretty high-quality from the pictures shown. The only downside is the price as the Crypto-137 Edition can be purchased for a sizable $399.99 (USD). If you’re a huge fan, that Crypto backpack may just be worth it.
