Below, we’ve put together a comprehensive guide explaining who the best Dancers are and how to unlock the Dancer class in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

What’s interesting about the White Heron Cup competition is that it’s not judging based on dancing stat merits, but on Charisma in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. To put an exact number on it, you’ll need at least 13 Charisma to unlock the Dancer class. Because of this, you’ll want to pick a character with the highest Charisma in your house.

Something else to note is that this event is timed, meaning you’ll need to complete the pre-requirements during your 12/7 or 12/14 free exploration days. Specifically, you’ll need to talk to interested students and ask one of them to represent your house as a Dancer. As mentioned above, the White Heron Cup is looking at Charisma stats so it’s best to ask a student with high Charisma to be your Dancer.

For example, we’re playing as the Black Eagles house and looked at both Dorothea and Edelgard. In the end, we picked Edelgard as she met the 13 Charisma requirement. As long as your chosen student wins the White Heron Cup, you’ll unlock the Dancer class. With the Dancer class unlocked, you'll be able to assign 1 of your units the role of Dancer.

Keep in mind that when you assign the Dancer class to a student, you won’t be able to assign it again unless you reclass the student you previously assigned it to. Wondering what sort of perks the Dancer class comes with? Below, we’ve outlined the stats of the Dancer class in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Dancer: The Dancer energizes allies with inspiring movement, allowing them to act again. This class also wields magic. Dancers get +2 Sword and +2 Authority bonus skills.

Dancer Stat Bonuses

  • +2 Mov
  • +1 Str
  • +2 Def
  • +3 Dex
  • +1 Res
  • +3 Spd
  • +2 Cha

Using a Dancer will let a nearby ally move again. When paired with a Sword user, the Dancer class can grant +20 Avo. Dancers are also able to learn the "Sword Dance" combat art which makes dodging counterattacks easier after attacking. In a nutshell, the Dancer class is most notable because it gives nearby characters an additional move per turn.

If you’re struggling to pick the best character to assign the Dancer class to, we recommend Dorothea, Flayn, or Annette. Although, the choice is ultimately up to you depending on how you prefer to battle. Just remember that only one character can be assigned the Dancer class and you’ll need to keep that character in close proximity to the characters you want to give additional movement to in battle.

Best Dancers

  • Dorothea
  • Flayn
  • Annette

The Dancer class offers additional Sword skills, so characters like Dorothea that can handle a Sword are a particularly good fit, as are support characters like Flayn.
