There are a lot of choices you’ll have to make in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, with some having more impact than others. During your first playthrough of the game, it can be hard to tell which choices impact what. For example, when the Flame Emperor invites you to join him. Do you accept, or do you refuse? To help you make the best choice, we’ve explained what each answer does and whether you should join the Flame Emperor in Fire Emblem: Three Houses!
Should you join Flame Emperor in Fire Emblem: Three Houses
One of the antagonists in Fire Emblem: Three Houses is the Flame Emperor. Shortly after Act 1, you and Jeralt will meet with the Flame Emperor. It’s a tense meeting, and towards the end the Flame Emperor extends an interesting offer. Specifically, the Flame Emperor asks if you want to join forces with him.
You have two responses to choose from here, joining the cause or refusing to join the cause. Unlike other choices in Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the response you give doesn’t appear to have any impact on the game. If you agree to join, the Flame Emperor will anger. He says he can tell you’re lying, and that your hatred for him is clear. He refuses your answer and leaves.
Meanwhile, if you say no the Flame Emperor will act smug and note that he understands why you’d be apprehensive. After that, he’ll leave. Of the two options, we feel it’s better to be direct with the Flame Emperor and say no when he asks you to join forces. By saying no, you’ll get the smoothest possible outcome.
In the end though, there’s no way to actually join the Flame Emperor, so it won’t matter whether you pick yes or no. The Flame Emperor’s offer isn’t genuine and he'll refuse both answers.
