Smash Ultimate update 4.0.0 patch notes

All the character tweaks and balance changes included in the update 4.0.0 patch notes for Smash Ultimate.

The next beefy update to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has arrived in update 4.0.0, and while the new Hero character will no doubt be drawing the most attention (you can check out his full moveset here!), plenty of other changes have been hidden under the hood too. Final Smashes have received a tweak, and a whole host of balance changes have been brought in that should shake up the cast a bit. To keep you on top of all the changes, here are the Smash Ultimate update 4.0.0 patch notes:

There are a huge number of changes in the 4.0.0 patch, but most are minor adjustments to multi-hit moves or niche scenarios like waking up from sleep. A few characters have received notable buffs though, so look out for the changes to Ridley, Isabelle, Charizard, Pit/Dark Pit, Mewtwo and a few others. Those worried about Joker getting a hefty nerf can rest easy as well, the only change is a very slight weakening of Arsene’s counter. Outside of the main notes, it's worth adding that the 4.0.0 update also adds a Very Easy difficulty to Adventure mode (World of Light) and introduces some new Dragon Quest spirits to the shop.
