What is the max Power Level in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep?

Bungie has given a glimpse of what could be the max Power Level in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep.

Destiny 2’s next big update is on the way in the form of Shadowkeep, an expansion arriving on September 19. Shadowkeep will take players back to the Moon to face off against a deadly threat from The Darkness, which all sounds very ominous indeed. While new story content is always good, one factor players are keen to know is just how far Shadowkeep will push up the max Power Level cap for Destiny 2. Bungie has yet to make an official announcement, but there are clues out there…

There’s no official word on the max Power Level in Shadowkeep, but Bungie has hinted at a number in a recent update on the expansion’s progress. Not long ago, Bungie released a new ViDoc titled Out of the Shadows which covers Shadowkeep and shows of several segments of gameplay and playtesting. As spotted by Game Rant, the footage shows a Power Level of 900 at one point, which would seem like a very reasonable number for Shadowkeep to push too, raising the bar by 150 from the current max Power Level of 750.

As noted above, it’s worth restating that this isn’t official confirmation of the max power level in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Bungie has previously run several showcases of expansions for Destiny 2 that features Power Levels that were then changed for the full release. To that end, take the 900 Power Level possibility with a pinch of salt, though it does mean the studio is considering the number at the very least. All things considered, it likely won’t be too long before we’re pushing 1000 Power Level or higher.

Of course, we’ll update this article when official word of the max Power Level cap in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is released, so stay tuned for that information as and when it arrives. Shadowkeep releases on September 19 for Destiny 2.
