Metal Wolf Chaos XD release date revealed by store listing

Metal Wolf Chaos XD release date appears on the Microsoft Store and now in a trailer.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD's release date has appeared on the Microsoft Store ahead of the remake's launch for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The store page lists the Metal Wolf Chaos XD release date as August 6, 2019, delaying it from the far more appropriate July 4 date it had been initially announced with.

The remake of Elden Ring developers FromSoftware's absurdly American mech action game from 2004 sees President Michael Wilson fend off a rebellion led by Vice President Richard Hawk. Of course the President pilots a mech with a gatling gun to do this.

Despite its Western setting the original Metal Wolf Chaos never released outside of Japan, so Devolver Digital and developers General Arcade are doing a national service by updating the game for modern audiences.

Aside from its timeless tale of political strife, Metal Wolf Chaos XD will release with 'upgraded visual fidelity, refined controls and gameplay, a new save system, and 4K plus 16:9 support for modern displays.'

Also listed on the Microsoft Store was a Skin Pack add-on, although what that means we'll have to wait until Metal Wolf Chaos XD's release date on August 6, 2019 to find out.
