To grow rice and other crops like potatoes in Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, all you need is a seed for the relevant plant. You can buy seeds, find them or receive them as rewards for quests, so you’ll likely have picked up a few while exploring. To use them, you need to head left out from the safe house in which Johannes and Dominique are found. Leaving the house in this direction you’ll meet a farmer named Harry.

Speak to Harry and you’ll be able to give him any seeds for crops that you’ve collected. Harry will take them to plant crops. Return to him later (or if you’re in a real hurry, just warp back and forth between a few points then return) and he’ll give you a portion of the harvest he’s collected. This is the best way to earn a lot of rice, potatoes and other food parts. Basically, you want to be giving a seed to Harry every time you return to visit Johannes or Dominique to maximize your output.
