How to customize profile in Harry Potter Wizards Unite

Stand out from the crowd by customizing your profile in Harry Potter Wizards Unite.

In Harry Potter Wizards Unite, players have the ability to customize their profile. With customization options that differ from Niantic’s other title, Pokemon GO, it can be a blast just setting up and tweaking your profile. Of course, it can also be a challenge to find your profile page and identify the parts that are customizable versus ones you need to unlock.

To help, we’ve put together a quick guide explaining how to customize your profile in Harry Potter Wizards Unite!

In Harry Potter Wizards Unite, a common question that’s asked is how to customize your profile. After running through the game’s opening tutorial, you’ll have the ability to view and customize your profile. To view your profile, tap on the Wizard icon at the bottom left corner of your home screen. Doing this will open your Ministry ID page.

At the top right corner of your Ministry ID, you’ll be able to view things like your Name, Title, Level, and more. Keep in mind that everything with a quill next to it can be edited and customized. Below, we’ve listed all customization options available on your Ministry ID page and whether or not you’ll need to meet certain requirements in order to unlock them.

  • Name
  • Title (complete achievements to unlock new Titles)
  • House
  • Profession (unlocks after Level 6)
  • Profile Picture
  • Wand
  • Wizarding Achievements (complete objectives to earn new Achievements)
Things like Title, Profession, and Achievements all need to be unlocked as you play through Harry Potter Wizards Unite.

To change something, all you need to do is tap on it. For example, if you tap on your title, you’ll be taken to a list of titles that you have unlocked. By tapping the heart on the left side, you’ll be able to select the title you wish to display on your Ministry ID. Once you’re done, tap the gold X at the bottom of the screen to return to your Ministry ID page.

What’s interesting about Harry Potter Wizards Unite is that rather than be sorted into a House, you can simply select the House you wish to display. As traditional in the Harry Potter universe, you’ll have Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw to select from. After choosing your House, tap the gold X at the bottom of the screen to return to your Ministry ID page.

While your House is quick to customize, there are certain aspects of your profile you won’t be able to customize until you reach a designated level. For example, Professions are locked until you reach Level 6 in Harry Potter Wizards Unite. Other things like Wizarding Achievements must be earned by playing the game and meeting their requirements.

Outside of this, two things that players will undoubtedly have fun playing around with include the Profile Picture and Wand options. Starting with your Wand, you can pick the wood your Wand is made out of. For us, we chose Elder, though there are dozens of woods available. You can also select a Core from three options: Dragon Heartstring, Unicorn Hair, and Phoenix Feather.

Finally, you can select the length and flexibility of your wand. We maxed our wand’s length out at 14 ½ inches, then opted for a Rigid flexibility. With all of your wand details selected, tap the gold X at the bottom of your screen to return to the Ministry ID page. Lastly, you can customize your Profile Picture.

You can either take a brand new Profile Picture, or choose a photo from your phone’s gallery. There’s even a Stock photo option if you don’t wish to use a personal photo at all. As we were fiddling around in the Profile Picture section, we noticed there are some wild options available to help you customize your profile picture to your liking.

We decided to make ours as eccentric as possible, because why not? You can return to your Ministry ID and customize things whenever you like. In the future, more customization options will likely be made available. Until then, let us know down in the comments below how you chose to customize your profile in Harry Potter Wizards Unite!
